That age-old dilemma for women 'wheelers from Sealy, Texas: What do you call your 1988 Dodge Ramcharger build? Well, if you're Georgia Jackson, the answer is obvious—"Ma'amCharger." Fair warning, if Georgia's name rings a bell since she was co-driver on UA2022 with her husband, Tim Jackson, in their 1968 Jeep M-715. The Ramcharger came into the couple's possession as more or less a basket-case factory four-speed truck. Tim got to spinning wrenches and laying weld beads with Georgia's help and now the truck is up and running, powered by a later-model 5.9-liter Magnum V-8 sporting a Rochester Q-Jet four-barrel carb. Backing the Magnum gas engine is the factory NP435 sporting its venerable 6.68:1 first-gear ratio. If that weren't enough, slapped to the NP435's 1x23-spline output is an Offroad Design Magnum Doubler T-case setup that adds an additional 2.72:1 in the Magnum and 1.96:1 in the NP205. Fronting those are a pair of Ford Super Duty axles, the front pilfered from an '05 F-350 and sporting 4.56 gear and a Torq Locker, while the rear is a 2002 Ford Sterling 10.5-inch with similar 4.56 gears and a Yukon Grizzly Locker. Suspension is a home-brew custom radius arm up front with tried-and-true coils and simple hydro shocks. Out back, leaf springs serve up a heaping helping of simple suspension. It all clears the way for chunky 39x13.50R17 BFGoodrich Krawler tires on simple steel wheels. The bumpers, sliders, 'cage, and the rest are all courtesy of Tim and Georgie's sweat equity, some welding wire, and a whole mess o' steel.
